Baby Hazel

Yesterday we went to have an ultrasound of our newest little one. I am 20 weeks prego and half way there...YIPEE. We had the funnest time. We left Emery with a baby sitter because last ultrasound she cried and cried thinking that I was being hurt by the tech. Ryan didn't even get to enjoy it so this time we learned and left her home. Sad, I know, to not include her but it turned out to be a GREAT experience for Ryan and I and Em had a FANTASTIC time with the sitter. The tech was fantastic. She took so many pictures and even sent us home with a DVD of the whole ultrasound and pics in 4D. I was SO excited. It is such an amazing thing to be able to see your little one before they are born. The tech said that she is perfect and didn't have anything for us to be worried about. Whew.

Fruit Loops

Emery and I made fruit loop necklaces or headbands as you can see in this picture. We had such a fun time. It is so neat to see how fast little ones catch on to stuff. I love it! I was able to snap a few pictures before she took to the really fun part of Eating the fruit loops.

4th of July

This 4th we spent time with Ryan's family in Emery, Utah. Yep, it is the town that we named our little Emery after. We had a great time. Most of Ryan's family was there and we laughed, hiked, played games, ate, and just enjoyed each others company. Here are a few pictures of our fun weekend.

Handstands with daddy

Emery loves it when daddy comes home. They have so much fun together. I can see why having two parents in the home makes for fun happy babies. By the time Ryan gets home she is pretty much done with me (note...since being prego we don't get too much in other than snuggling and reading books together) and ready for some fun wild /time. He taught her how to do a handstand and a summer salt recently and she thought it was the best thing ever. Gotta love daddies.

Park

We love to go to the park. Emery is such a daredevil and is always scaring me. She loves to go down the big curly slide and swing on the swings. Not too scarey I know, but when she is wanting to always do it by herself it makes my heart leap.

Where is your shirt??

I went in to get Emery up from bed and found her with her shirt off and a HUGE grin. She has been practicing taking off her clothes and thinks she is so cool when she can run around without them. Not too great when I have to work and she needs to be clothed. I asked her where her shirt was and she said "Oh", turned around and showed it to me. She cracks me up.

Golf Cart at work

Ok, so I have decided that blogging is like a journal and if you don't keep up on it you can feel overwhelmed with trying to "catch up" so I am not going to play catch up I am just going start from today and maybe stay on top of it. wow that was seriously a run on sentence...def not an english major..haha!

Emery loves loves loves my golf cart at work. It is so fun because we have to check all of the locks on each storage unit everyday and so we either walk or take the golf cart. Lately we have been walking a lot more because I am prego and am trying to get any exersice that I can but each time that we start out into the facility Emery is always saying "Golf cart" Yes, she can say it. It is still a little slurred but she says it clear enough for you to understand what she is saying. She has so much fun driving and looking at everything. Here is a pic with her and Ryan.

Hiko (Cont.)

Visit to Hiko

Ryan had a lot of school work and I was missing my fam in Hiko, not to mention that Brian and Alicya were going to be making the trip as well so Emery and I packed up and took a quick trip to Hiko. We had such a fun time. My mom babied me and Emery had an endless supply of attention for the two days that we were there. Emery also created a new best friend. She absolutely adores her uncle Brian. She would snuggle with him and talk to him in her language any chance that she got. It was so funny!

New Toy

While we were in the store. Emery had to ride this toy. I never realized how tough shopping becomes when your child starts to walk. It definately takes a lot longer than it used to. She jumped on this toy and didn't want to give it up. I couldn't help it because it was so cute and she looked so cute on it so...I bought it.

Emery's 1st Trip to the Zoo

Emery doesn't like to ride in the stroller anymore so she pushes until she is tired and then I put her in it and she relaxes for awhile and then the cycle starts again.

Today I took Emery to Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. It was her first trip to the zoo and we had such a fun time. She really enjoyed the elephants and the giraffes. It was fun to see how big her eyes got when she actually saw the animals in their cages...so cute!!

8:34 PM

My sweet friend, Holly, who also works for Alpine Storage, makes these super cute hats. I went over to visit and she pulled out this hat for Emery. Holly is amazing. She can just sit down and whip out one of these hats in an hour or so...without a pattern...talented, I know. She makes ones with ear flaps and all sorts of fun stuff. She can even make leather shoes...whoa!

8:13 PM

Emery is getting so big. She is starting to get enough hair for me to put a small piggie tail in. I can't help it because it is so cute. I know there is not much and you have to look hard to see it but it is there. Plus I figure I have to start getting her used to having stuff in her hair, right? This Sunday she just looked so grown up to us so I had to take pictures. Then on our way in to church. I said "Look, Emery here comes daddy", say, "Hi, Daddy" and instantly she said "Hi, Daddy". Both Ryan and I were shocked. It just sounds so foriegn coming from her little mouth. Of course, she does talk but it is "Angel talk" as a friend of mine put it. I seriously love being a mommy.
